HELD is a unique event for us and we hope you can make it. Along with drinks and dinner, you will hear from special guest speaker John Onwuchekwa. John is a storyteller and social entrepreneur whose work explores how people move through grief, meaning-making, and human flourishing.

While we hope to see you on October 8th, we understand life gets in the way. Whether or not you can join us, we invite you to reserve an Honorary Seat at the Table — a gift made in honor or in memory of someone you love. Each honoree will be remembered during the evening, so that the people who helped shape us have a place at the table too. The power of preserving memories

Longtime supporters, Tessa and Robert Swarthout (pictured here), have graciously agreed to host at their stunning property, 7 Oaks Stables. Drinks and dinner will be held on their back patio, the perfect setting for meaningful conversation over an intimate dinner.

It will be an evening full of presence, story, and the belief that loss doesn't have to be the end of celebrating those we love.

Our guest speaker, John Onwuchekwa, has spent his life turning loss into language other people can actually use. He studies how emotions shape culture and how culture shapes us back. Those insights are turned into frameworks that help individuals and institutions grow stronger, healthier, and more resilient.

The Details

Location: 7 Oaks Stables

Starting at 6 PM and ending at 9 PM, we invite you to come join us for drinks on the patio, a seated dinner at tables we've thoughtfully arranged, and connection with each other.

We'll ask you to keep phones put away during dinner (and hope you don't even think about it) as we intentionally enjoy the evening right where we are.

This isn't a gala. There's no wall-to-wall program. Expect a few carefully chosen moments of story — including time with John — and one clear opportunity to help this work continue.

Yes — and it's built to feel nothing like one. There's a real dinner, a real story, and one clear moment to invest in Momento's work. No paddle raise theatrics, no guilt.
What Should I Wear?

You are welcome to come straight from work in business casual. Comfortable shoes that are comparable to the outdoors is suggested. Feel free to get a little cocktail fancy if that's your style, but you are accepted however you are!
What About Allergies?

There will be horses around the property, so please take precaution with allergies. You can let us know food allergies when you purchase your ticket and we'll do our best to care for you!
